e Burberry Prorsum double-breasted coat, but without the brigading lines of buttons the coat wouldn't express character in the way that it does.
Karl Lagerfeld designs the tuxedo-esque jacket with a different approach. Less buttons situated in the right location gives the garment and the buttons individuality from each other. You can appreciate both the design and craftsmanship of the jacket and button on their own.
Thom Browne's imagination grows as his suitings shrink. Slacks become shorts accompanied by a short-cuffed, two-button jacket. Mind you, this is only business appropriate in the appropriate business.
Levi's and Brooks Brothers have collaborated, in a sense, to create American-made 501's, 505's, 515's, etc. These finishes are exclusive to Brooks Brothers and have one of my most favorite aspects of a great pair of jeans...buttons. A button fly cannot catch anything in the closing process and cannot break since they are riveted in. They give me an old-school feel that never gets old. Levi's are also my go-to pair of jeans for everyday wear. Levi's legacy is something that someone can respect. It isn't the price of a pair of jeans that counts, but what it means to you.

Speaking of buttons, this button-nosed girl of mine is adorable right now: Welcome Zoe

"Where was I? Oh yes, buttons." Take further note of the detail the next time you purchase a garment. Buttons aren't an afterthought for designers and much more than mere circles of plastics. Enamel, tortoise shell, ivory, plastics, brass, gold, crystal, and other combinations and concoctions create these masterful attentions to details. If you don't take note now of how precious buttons are, wait until you lose a button off that vintage Chanel tweed jacket or when it comes off on the way to a business interview.
Don't let the mediocrity stray too far off into odyssey.

I LOVE ZOE!!! We should have named her Buttons :)
